Intro to Solids and Amamil's Contribution

Raising healthy kids with good eating habits has been a challenge from the beginning of times. Scientific research has proven that the first 1,000 days of a child’s life  is the critical window for growth and development, a period of rapid physiological change and plasticity with significant potential for lasting effects. Such interventions during the first 1,000 days will have the greatest impact on outcomes.

As a caregiver you are responsible for your baby’s eating habits and Amamil is here to help, not only with the chopping, steaming and cleaning, but our proudest contribution is to guide and inform our community with regards to your child’s early year needs and the key role food plays in fueling that development.

Many international health organizations suggest starting with complementary foods at the age of 4 to 6 months. The World Health Organization, WHO, recommends exclusively breastfeeding until 6 months old, before introducing any solids.

With the growth and development of the child, her/his nutritional needs will increase and may no longer be satisfied by breastmilk or formula milk alone.

This means the time is now to start with complementary foods!

Enjoy the journey raising strong and healthy little humans.
